Review of Aura Condos – Part 3: Aura suites and floor plans

386 Yonge street – TSCC 2421 suites

The lower section of the Aura Condo tower uses the 386 Yonge street address, and is home to 826 suites spread out from floors 5 to 58. Anything from 1 bedroom to 3 bedroom + den suite layouts can be found here. Sizes span from the low 500 sq.ft  range. to just over 1,600 sq.ft. in area.  Most suites are laid out on one floor level, but there are a few unique floors where two level lofts are also available.

The two-storey Aura lofts are mostly found on the lower levels of the building on floors 5, 7, 9 and 11. Some of them have very large private terraces with upwards of 1,000 sq.ft. with their own BBQ gas hook-ups and jacuzzi tubs. Keep in mind however, that due to the low floor level, the views are not spectacular, particularly since most face towards the current Eaton Chelsea Hotel to the south on Gerrard street. This will eventually change though, as a new neighbourhood development is being proposed for that site that will demolish the hotel and make way for a completely new approach to the land, which may provide more sunlight for some of these loft units. 388 Yonge street – TSCC 2446 suites

The upper part of Aura Condo retains the 388 Yonge street address and is home to the 168 suites from floors 59 to 79. These residences are also known as the executive suites of Aura, and boast higher ceilings heights than the lower condo corporation. Even though you can find anything from a 1 bedroom to 3 bedroom + den suite in this section of the tower, these units tend to average on the larger size than the suites at 386 Yonge street.

The four incredible penthouses, while only being on one level compared to the penthouse lofts of 386 Yonge, offer the largest floor plans in the building of up to 3,000 sq.ft. and extreme high-end finishes with gas appliances and fireplaces. They also offer an incredible bird’s eye view of the city, (which is more like an “airplane” view of the city!), that certainly makes it like no other condominium to date in Toronto.
